To Secretary (From Secretary with Governor General) - In reply to letter dated 13th November, observes that the conditions on which Captain Halton was authorized to undertake the experimental mullerry Plantation # that an annual expenditure of Rs. 3000 for 3 years might be incurred, Captain H. Recding besides Rs. 200 per months as salary, the extension of the plantation depending on the results of the experiment at the lapse of that period. That officers proposal to purchase land at a cost of Rs. 6000 for the above purpose is therefore negatived.
