From Acting Superintendent P & O Company - With reference to letter dated 29th Instant with Enclosure submits his account against Government for the use of the Hindostan less the item objected to Vizt Rs. 1810 for Stewards fees & shall be obliged by the adjust of the present account acmounting to Rs. 32,625.11.5 - Regrets that Government should have looked upon that item in any way as an oner charge, & explains that considerable expense was incurred on the refit of the Vessel to accommodate Government which would not otherwise have been done- Hopes to avoid a misunderstanding in future.
