Major General the Honble Mr. I. Buttervath Governor of the Straits Settlements reported his departure for Europe on the 26th Ultimo on the Steamer Cadiz on which date the Honble E. A. Blundell assumed the Government of those Settlements under the appointment made by the Governor General the 31st January last.
