To Secretary - Transmits papers received from the Madras Government reporting the existence of the practice of Human Sacrifice & of suffee in the Zemindary of Jeypore, and observes that the assumpation of the management of the Zemindary as proposed by the Madras Government is a serious question & might involve the British Government in a protracted war in a difficult & unhealthy Country.
