Officiating Agent Hill Tracts of Orissa - Forwards his Diary from the 1st to the 15th instant having passed through a considerable portion of the Kalahundy & Nowhurungpore Zamindaries reports that the feelings there as regards Meriah sacrifice is satisfactory & that no Sattee has occurred in the latter place since the issue of order prohibiting it, nor any human sacrifices. Human sacrifices has however taken place in 3 Zemindaries of the Jeypore state and will further report on the matter after instituting the necessary enquiries.
