To Secretary - Transmits for information copies of two despatches from the Honble Court No. 46 & 74 of respectively 5th Julty & 11 October together with copy of the instructions this day issued to Mr. Henwood appointed to Survey the Mineral Districts of Kumaon & Ghurwal - Acquaints that Mr. H. is accorespondence by 3 Assistants and athe salaries they are to draw with BonaFide travelling expences and quarters when absent from the Presidency Mr. A. will shortly proceed to Almorah accompanied by his Assistants requests therefore that instructions be issued to the Commissioner of Kumaon to furnish them with guides conveyances & etc. for the service on which they are employed as well as with funds to defray their expenses & to pay the respective portions of their salaries payable in India & to furnish Mr. A. with the means of opening any of the Metalliferous deposits he may meet with.
