Secretary Bengal - With reference to letter of the 15th Ultimo submits for orders a Communication from the Director Public Inst: enquiring with reference to the orders of the Supreme Government dated 15th June last how the expenditure of the Education Department is in future to be regulated and raising the two following questions. First : Whether the Proceeds of Local Funds including Rent, Interest on Government Papers etd. are to be brought on the Public accounts as receipts of the Education Department. Second : Whether application is to be made to the Government of India in the # Department for sanction to every increase demincetion or charge of Establishment which may be required.
