To Superintendant Electric Telegraph - Informs of the Government of India having resloved to modify the present scale of payment for Electric Telegraph messages in the manner suggested in Mr. Secretary Bradnis letter of 30th March last and authorizes him to charge accordingly at particular rates for particular destance mentioned approves of his having cesaed to charge for prepositions in a message - approves also of his #made it optional to date message or not authorized also certain the exemptions from charge sendes should give their names in messages. Repetition of Macoutle messages must continue to be compulsory - The charge for repetition to be reduced to one half complins with his recommendation be bringing Calcutta & Madras within single rates of each other and for including Mirzapur within the obitance of a single rate from Calcutta.
