Secretary Bombay - In reply to letter date 26th January last reports the nomination of Mr. C. I. Erikine of the Civil Service as Director of Public Instruction on a salary of Rs. 2,500 Per Months to be increased to Rs. 3,000 after he shall have completed an actual residence of 14 years in India by which time his total length of Service will have accounted to more than seventeen year.

The National Archives of India is on a mission to digitize and make available online each and every record in its repositories. This is an ongoing effort and some records will be made available before the others.
