Secretary - In reply to letter of the 6th Ultimo reports that its purport has been commuicated to the department of audit and account but resiterates the suggestion of the Bombay Government that no security whatever he taken from Officers leaving the Country either on Furlough Sick leave or retirement and this on the ground that no incomvenience has ever arisen in Bombay form no requiring security that the Government has in other ways sufficient hold both legal and practical on their covenanted servants and that difficulty will be found in inducing agency Houses to enter into an obligation vague in its terms and relating to no definate amount of Security.
