From Chief Secretary - States that it appearing desirable that the Public Instructions for the education of the Natives in the Deccan should be placed under a good European Supervision, that Government has taken advantage of the circumstance of its having an Officer available for the purpose by entrusting the Superintendence of the Poona College and the Schools in the Deccan to the care of Captain Candy. States also why no increase of charge will be incurred by this appointment.
