Secretary - In reply to letter of the 3rd August enquiring as to whether a special Inspector of Despensaries would not be more useful them the present Superintending Surgeons in securing uniformity of management in the Institutions transmits copy of a communication on the subject from the Medical Board at Madras with the expressica of the opinion of the Governor in Council that the appointment of a Sepcial Inspector of Dispensaries is nither necessary now desicable at present in that Presidency.
