Acknowledges receipt of this Office letter of the 30th March, postponing the consideration of his application for compensation until the effect of Act XXIV. of 1867 on his office has been ascertained. Represents the loss that his income has suffered and proposes that a sum not exceeding Rupees 15,000 be awarded him out of the surplus income of the Audit Fund, in full of all claims prior to 1st April 1867.
