From Post Master General - Has received no orders from Government on the subject of the Post Office to be attached to the Camp of His Excellency the Commander in Chief. On bringing to the notice of Sir Edward Barnes the orders of 29th November last regarding the proposed abolition of the Salary hitherto drawn by the Port Master at Head Quarters - learns that His Excellency will object to request any of his personal Staff to perform the duty without any remuneration.
