To Marine Board - In reply - Captain Ross will prosecute the Survey of the Aracan Coast Northward to Chittagong & to the Channels of Sundheep and Hatua so as to complete entirely the Survey to the Eastern Shore of the Bay of Bengal, after which it will be desirable to Resurvey accurately the River Hooghly to the extremity of the Sand Heads & at the same time to examine the Shoal discovered in the Bay towards the Coast Ganjam by His Excellency the Naval Commander in Chief Sir. I. Gore.
