Letter fromCol Patrick Duff to the Governor General reporting that there will be only 3,494 barrels of gunpowder remaining in the arsenal after the quantity that has been ordered for Fort St. George and Bombay has been despatches and that 8,000 barrels of gunpowder are considereed necessary for th defence of Fort William.
