Letter from the Board of Trade, explaining why the Chinsura goods were not removed at an early date and how they happened to have a balance of cash in their hands on the 31st March last, intimating that they have complied with Mr.Purlings request and that they will advance all other charges for transporting the goods to Europe, requesting the Board to direct Mr. Purling to furnish them with an account of the money advanced to him, and refusing to comply with the Boards request respecting the payment of salaries to their assistants.
