Draft of a letter to the Supercargoes at Canton explaining why a bill for 31,716 dollers did not arrive in China last season intimating the acceptance of certain bills but prohibiting further demands on Bengal complaining about the difficulties experienced by merchants trading with China, pointing out how serious the loss would be if the trade, were ruined , requesting that Capt. Light of the Prince of Wales Island may be assisted intimating the extent to which money can be supplied desiring the registration of the names of country ships and the exchange of the registers between Canton and the Presidencies and asking that three Chineses portters may be sent to undertake porcelain manufacture under Mr. Law Collector of Gya.
