Draft of a letter to the President and Council of Bombay intimating that the Court of Directors, have been recommended to apply to Parliament for security against legal prosecution by bond holders and that the question of allowances to captured officers is under consideration enclosing a copy of a paragraph from a letter to the Court of Directors respecting the transfer of the bonded debt of the government of Bombay ,reporting that Brigadier -General Macleod has been paid the balance of his account directing the Government of Bombay to refer any account incurred unde their immediate management and control to the Board for adjustment and congratulating Brigadier -General Nilson on his appointment to the office of commander -in-Chief at Bombay.
