Letter from the President and Council of Bombay, reporting the despatch of the Halsewell to Bengal and of the Royal Admiral and the Neptune to England, intimating that their subscription scheme for raising money has failed, acknowledging receipt of the bills sent to them, asking for further supplies of money and rice on account of the drought in that Presidency, enclosing a number of papers from the Company's creditors and holders of Bombay bonds with their remarks thereon, forwarding a copy of a correspondence btween the Council and Col. Morgan, certain accounts, and a packet from the Resident at Bussorah, and acquainting the Board with their grant of certificates on the Court of Directors to the Commander of the Hawke on account of his privilege money, and their receipt of a quantity of copper from him .
