Extract from a letter, dated the 9th August, from the President and Council of St. Helena to the Court of Directors, requesting that steps may be taken to ensure the regular delivery of supplies to their Presidency by the commanders of ships, and reporting that the rice supplied to them form Bengal by Bruere was of a very inferior quality.
