Dr. A. Sprenger - In reply to the foregoing in which opportunity if offered to him of suubmitting an explanation of his conduct in the transaction referred to states that he isof opinion that a discretionary power is left to this Government of giving him an opportunity to settle Mr. Boatros demand or of removing him from his Civil appointments in which interpretation - is comfirmed from the circumstance of Mr. Boutros having metter out to some persons in this Country to receive the amount of his claim. Requests tobe informed whether Government call on him for further explanation owing to a different interpretation of the Courts of Despatch or because in to descretionary power it does not think proper to grant him the alternatene mentioned above.
