Sir M. Merewether reports that Chiefs of Murree tribe are at Jacobabad, where they are about to meet him. Adoption of similar measure on the frontier to that adopted on Punjab frontier (taking a small body into pay) urged by him. Recommends sanction to expenditure of Rupees 500 per mensem for the purpose. Reply awaited by Sir Merewether before meeting the Chief.
