Forwards, for information, copy of a letter from the High Court of Calcutta, protesting against the arrangements sanctioned by the Government of India for establishing parallel lines of promotion in the Executive and Judicial Branches of the Covenanted Civil Service in Bengal; transmits also a letter from the Government of Bengal written with reference to the protest of the High Court.
