With reference to that Department`s No. 2188, dated 1st August, 1866, forwards copy of a Despatch from the Secretary of State, sanctioning the creation of a new office of Advocate and Legal Adviser to the Government of the Punjab, and intimating the appointment of Mr. Cunningham to the post.
