With reference to this Office No. 2880 of the 24th March 1866, forwards copy of a communication from the Deputy Registrar of the High Court, submitting three Statements, and the Central Return showing the amount of Stamp Duty refunded in cases of compromise, and states that the Return of the value of Stamps filed on account of petitions and applications in criminals cases cannot be furnished, as no Stamps are used in such in the Madras Presidency.
