Transmits papers relative to an attempt made in August 1876 to upset a mail train on the East Indian Railway, near Calcutta, the suspected author of which, a man named Moore, sailed from Calcutta the same year, and was last heard of at Melbourne. Desires to have the assistance of the Colonial Office, London, with the object of apprehending Moore if possible.
