States, with reference to a letter of the 19th Instt. on the subject of new Percussion arms being furnished to H,m's 13th Light Infantry, that the Govt. Genl. will not issue any orders for the exchange of the arms of that Regiment at present but for reasons stated request that the Military Board, & may be directed to hold a supply of new arms in readiness, in event of that regiment being directed to embarke at Kerrachie for England.
