Transmitting an annexed, for the information of His Excellency the Commander in Chief, Copy of a Military Letter from the Honorable the Court of Directors to the Governor of Bengal No. 20 dated 3rd May 1843, intimation of that the friends of Gunner Presidency on the Ship Owen Glendowerin 1842, and Gunner Thomas Cattell of the 3rd Company 2nd Battalion Artillery, have paid in Europe the sums required by the Regulations for their Discharge from the service and passage back; the Honorable the President in Council has been pleased to sanction their Discharge and to authorize the Four Major to make the necessary managements for providing them with Charter Party Passage.
