Representing after 30 years fervice he was on the 8th jan. 1848 place under arrest. and on the 8th feb. dismissed from the sercice on a fictitions charge breough againsthim by 2sepoys of the 69th N.I. and that the charge consisted in an a alleged attempt by him on or about the 6th Dce. 1847. while in the comp of a detachment on escort duty with the Remount horses proceeding form Hanper to meerut to purlion a portion of the grom the property of Govt.
