Intimating that the G G has decided that the case of Capt Riddell contonmt. Lt. Magistrate at Cawnpore who was summoned as witness on the defence of Iatee Persaud and who applied that his travelling charges should lupaid by the state and that he might draw his allowances shilst abseant from his post, should be governed by the simple principle that officer should be neigher a gainer nor loser in consequence of being ordered on that duty.
