With reference to Mily. Deptt. letter no. 951 of the 29th Ultimo, states that there is no objection to the Discharge Purchase money of soldiers of the E.I.C. being paid into the nearest Pay Office tresy & the Pay Master's receipt being forwarded as Evidence of such payment with the application to Govt. for discharge of the soldier, provided Govt. direct that course to be adopted in preference to the course taid down by the Court.
