With reference to a letter of the 20th May last, states the sentiments of the C in C relative to the suspencian of mr. Jhah Khan gunadar of the orderly bazar of barrackpore also on the case of Ranecheen versus Lieutt Duffin which was recently decided in the supreme Court submits for decision orders coy despatch from Brigr Cortley Commading the Presidency division regarding the return to the caotonment at Barrackpore of certain individuals who were expelled there from upwards of 68 years ago and whose expression now the offr. commanding the Statin situates to order with refernce to the decision prepared by the Supreme Court states that the C in C is of opinion that Captain Duffin should be held harmeless by Government that any expenses which this office may have incurred in connection with the late suit here referred to will be defrayed by the state o p returned.
