In reference to Military Department despatch No 938 of 31st December 1852. states that the c in Chief having recd a similar commn from the Home authorities respecting the discharge of school master serjeant E rogers H ms 87th Foot caused the officer commanding the Regiment to be informed of the condition upon which the discharge would be sanctioned.
