In reply to his despatch no. 580 of the 7th Ultimo relative to the sub Stilution in the Horse Artillery of cloth Trowsers for leather breeches Stating for information as there is not at present any cloth Superior to the Oxford Mixtuire under issue the Honble the Pin C. deems it necessary that the Troops & on should accept overalls tendered each man receiveing Rs. 5.8.3 as compensation for the difference of quality between the overalls received and those to which they are intileed until cloth of the proper texture Viz such as is worn by H. Majesty's Cavalry for which an Indent will be forwerded to the Home Authorities during the ensuing Month shall have been seed & made up.
