With reference to an extract of the 17th ultimo states that Government are prepared to sanctions the increases proposed to be made to the office establishment of the del. board at Fort St. George on the grounds set forth that they hae noobjection to the entertainment of 2 clerks on salaries of Rs. 1718 and 18 respectively but that it is not shown tht an additional clerk is necesary at rs. 15 a month in numerical excess of the former establishment of the office of the medl. board at Madras .
