In reply to No 481 of the 23rd August 1852 submits that as preight now rule a sailing vesel to convey 800 men hence to arracan and there to Rangoon could not be obtained for less than 44,000 rupees the sum asked for the same servie for the peinsular and oriental cos steame oriental .
