With refrence, to mily department letter, no 483, of 23rd Instant, submits, for information, copy of one addressed to the officiating Accountant, N.W.Provinces ,on the subject of the advance made on colonel J. stuars requestion dated, 26th jany last, for the use of his office, by the branch treasruy with the camp of the Governor General while on Tour in the upper Provinces.
