With reference to govt. lr. of the 19th feb. and the 7th may 1847 states that no. 11 horse light field battery at Umballa arrived there from lahore on 2nd dec. 1850 and contimies on the war Wstabt. but as that station can no longer be vieved as occupying a feontier position sugtgests that the battery may be reduced to the Peacc estabt. which is sanctioned adds that the native officers.
