With reference to Military Department letter No 488 of 20th June 1851 noticing a demand of Rs 7594-14-10 preferred by Lt Coll maslean a aring pay master H ms 55th Foot submits copies of communication from of communicating from which it will appear that of the above demand Rs 2265-11-9 was reported to Government by the M A G C in his letter No 283 of the 6 November 1845.
