In reply to mily Department letter no 348, of 16th Current, solicits, order, for being relived form the charge, of the Adjutt General office at the Presidency, in view, to placing himself under the order of the Lt. General appointed to the Command of the Expedition to Burmah, and adds, that he has been demiofficially informed that Depy Assistant, Adjutant, General captain ross is to be recommended by the C.in Chief to officiate in his room.
