In reply to his despatch no 201 of 14th may last, stating tht under the circumstances represented Govt. sanction the bunglow built at Umballa by the late ensigned I Maginn 40th regiment Native Infantry and which lapsed to Govt. on account of unpaid advances made to him being appropriated as a chapel for the performance of divine worship in the natie languages for the benefit of native chiristian Drummers on the understanding that Govt. are not to be put to any expense for fitting up the building for the purpose for its repair.
