Copy of a letter from the Nabob Vizier to Mr. Almon dated 10th December 1794. The Nabob Jige Alle Ashan in answer to the demands of horses made upon him for the Company's service has written that he will send 2000 horses. The terms of the treaty between the Nabob and me are that the should keep 5000 troops and should employ in 2000 of them when necessary. At this time it is requisite that he should send 5000. But if any surplus for his own country him must deliver 2000 horses.
