In reply to the Official Memorandum from the Military Department of the 13th instant, the undersigned is directed to inform the Secretary in the Military Department that the lapse of absence granted to the Governor of the Straits Settlement for eighteen months medical leave has no doubt been granted sure as to issue unless Sanction is given.
