Letter from Messrs. Bayne, Colvin and Powlett to Mr. W. Harding, Civil Paymaster, desiring to know whether the letter of instructions given to them by Mr. S. Charteris will be sufficient authority for the payment of certain commission due to the latter, and giving extract from it. Extract from a letter, dated the 13th February 1798, from Mr. S. Charteris to Messrs. Bayne and Colvin, authorizing them to manage his concerns in India and to recover certain dues from the Buxey.
