Replacement of rating of Tide Watchers in the Marine Survey of India by Able Seamen: Increase in the number of Recorders' allowances from four to six, the monthly expenditure on this account being also increased from Rs.12 to Rs.20. Decision that two Able Seamen performing the recording duties should be taken to Coonoor annually during the recess season, and that while employed there, they should be accommodated in Marine Survey Office there and granted money compensation in lieu of rations at 10 annas each per diem.
