Claim of the Bishop of Madras for an allowance for the periods during which he performed virtute officii the functions of the Bishop of Calcutta during the latter's absence on leave. Proposed amendment of the letters patent of the 7th April 1845 so as to make it clear that the Government of India should have the power to enable or appoint the Bishop of Madras to act for the Bishop of Calcutta or not as they might consider to be necessary.
