Stating that the Government have no objection to the draft being passed into law of the understanding that Volunteers enrolled under the Indian Volunteers Act; 1869; and all otherpersons who are exempt in British India from the operation of the Indian Arms Act; 1878; are exempted from the operation of those provisions of the Regulation which relate to the possession of arms and ammunition.
