Informing the - that the Government of India have sanctioned the purchase of the cabin boat belonging to the Cochin Darbar and the employment of a sarang to be in charge of it; andthat in regard to the house-rent to be paid by him and his Assistant the Government of Indiahave decided that the amount to be paid by them on ageount of the two Residencies will be limitedfo 9 per cent..on their pay and allowances which will be charged all the year round except wheneither officer is occupying the house on the High Range for which rent will be chargeable duringthe period of oceupation only at‘ Public Works Department rates; subject to a maximum of 10per cent. on pay and local allowances.
