Claim of His Exalted Highness the Nizam’s Government that (1) no general tax for Imperial purposes can be imposed in the Nizam’s dominions including areas under Residency jurisdiction; and (2) no general tax the liability for which has been “ incurred in British India can be recovered by ordinary legal process in those dominions and areas without the consent of the Nizam’s Government. Decision that the question may be left for discussion until a case affecting the interests of the Nizam’s Government arises in a concrete form.
